Comprehensive Ministry with Adolescents - It Takes a Whole Church!

St. Albert Youth Ministry is the response of our Parish Community to the needs of our young people. It is also the sharing of unique gifts of the youth with the larger community. Youth Ministry focuses the works and gifts of the Holy Spirit as the youth develop their personal relationship with God. It is concerned with the total personal development of the Youth.

Goals for Ministry with Adolescents

To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.
To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

Spiritual Renewal

Youth Ministry provides spiritual renewal that helps further develop Catholic faith. Prayer Services, Youth Adoration Evenings, Prayer Group gatherings, Retreats and Conferences are offered throughout the year. These activities, whether in our Parish or within our Diocese, help the Youth become more aware of their relationship with God.

Social & Sports Activities

Youth Ministry provides social activities such as bowling, ice skating, movie nights, and day trips to promote Christian fellowship. It also provides sports activities Softball and Basketball to develop team spirit and provide healthy activities for all Youth.

Community Involvement

Youth Ministry provides opportunities to answer the Scripture's call to service. Through community service activities and leadership training, it serves not only the Parish community but our civic community as well.

Parish Involvement

Youth Ministry provides opportunities for our students to participate in all parish activities. Helping with activities such as Fajita Dinner, Parish Picnic, Parish Clean-ups and Celebration of Easter for the Parish children. These are all avenues for students to minister to our faith community. As well, the Youth Choir, Youth Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers add their gifts to our Parish worship services.

From Us to YOU!

We are here to aid YOU, the Youth of our Parish in ALL aspects of your lives, as well as aid your parents in the raising of their children. All YOU needed to be part of our group is to attend our activities. Not being an active member doesn't exclude YOU from attending the functions that interest YOU. Consider sharing your gifts with us and allow us to share our faith with YOU.

Adult volunteers are needed for all components to be successful. If you're an adult who can spare some time to help or would like to share your faith experiences with our Parish Youth, please contact our office. Adults are needed to be living examples to our Catholic faith.
