Welcome Back!

Is this the first time you have been to Church in awhile and you are thinking of becoming an active member again?

We have a program that just might meet your present needs. The LANDINGS Program is here to welcome back Catholics who have been absent from the faith community for whatever reason.

Would you like to meet with other people who are also searching and discerning God's call? Don't let this great opportunity pass. NOW is the perfect time.

Reconciliation

The LANDINGS Program is:

A Paulist Ministry of Reconciliation offered and supported by Bishop Joseph Fiorenza, of the Diocese of Galveston-Houston, and Rev. Philip Wilhite, pastor of St. Albert.

A proven program specifically designed to welcome those who wish to investigate returning to the Church.

In a Small Group Process

LANDINGS was designed and developed with an awareness of the very real demands and pressures on present day life.

LANDINGS is not:

The "saved" welcoming the "sinner"

People pressuring others to return

Full of answers to teach the unenlightened

Blind to the hurt they may have caused someone

LANDINGS is:

Founded on the belief that we do not have to be trained theologians to share what we believe, and to speak honestly about our faith, trusting in the Holy Spirit.

LANDINGS Means Listening

With LANDINGS, a group of five to six active Catholics join together to welcome two or three returning Catholics.

The group provides a landing place, a safe spot to touch down, where they will share their faith journey, prayer, and discussions of Catholic spirituality with ordinary Catholics who are trying to live their faith.

The group meets once a week for approximately eight weeks, to explore returning to an active sacramental life. LANDINGS is made up of people in solidarity with the returning, who in their own lives have "returned," and continue to "return."
